As we all know IPL means Indian premier league. IPL’s inaugural tournament was held in India in June 2008. It was a big hit. It was never looked like a domestic tournament. Each and every cricket lovers watched that as if they were watching the world cup. Even the organizers and team owners have not thought that it would become hit like this. It has eight teams. Each of the teams has to play with every other team for two times. One is home match and the other is away match. At the end top four teams qualify for semifinal. The champions will be decided in the final. Last year Rajasthan royals won the tournament. Chennai super kings finished as the runners of the tournament. That match was a very tough match. Rajasthan royals won in a nerve biting thriller. IPL 2008 was a great success. Many of the international players are attracted to this IPL because of the money they are going to get. Players of many countries have never got such huge amount of money even to play for their country. Many players did not play for their country because of the IPL commitments.
