World T20 squad based on IPL performance

The chairman of selectors has announced that this year squad for the world T20 will be based on IPL performance. Srikkanth with other members of the selection panel announced in a press meet. If a national team selection is going to be based on IPL then this clearly indicates how worth the IPL is and popular it is worldwide. Almost all the slots in the Indian team have to be earned. Despite captain dhoni, yuvraj, sehwag, gambhir,harbhajan and zaheer all the other members have to compete for the remaining spots. Last year BCCI has sent a new team with a new captain. No one thought India would win the world cup. Even the captain and the team members have never thought of winning the tournament. At the end because of good captaincy and a good team effort India went on to win the tournament. Now for this year’s world cup all the expectations will be only on India because of their previous performance. For meeting those expectations Indian team has to be good and the players will have to be able to give their fullest potential. Considering all these things the chairman announced that World T20 squad will be based on IPL performance. Now all the players will be trying to work hard in the IPL to earn a place in the Indian team and also to get a good reputation in IPL.
