IPL 2009 not in India

IPL 2009 will not be in India. Lalit modi the chairman for IPL and others took this decision after Indian Government refused to give security to players because of the election. If the government has to give security to players they cannot give adequate security for elections. After the release of IPL schedule the home minister has asked BCCI to change the dates of IPL. After that BCCI and IPL committee members tried various schedules to convince the home minister but he was not convinced. He kept on asking for new dates. And also the state police also concerned about the security. Some state police have written to home minister that they could not give proper security for players during the election. Considering all these things Lalit Modi has decided to shift the IPL 2009 to some other countries.
